Best Android Tablet PCs On the Market

Today, I am in search of the best tablet for the money.  Is it the iPad or could it be an Android based tablet or even perhaps a Windows 7 based tablet.  One never knows...until they do the research.

There are two things that I am factoring in right now.  One, as a Firefox user, I want to browse the web with Firefox and after just reading Firefox for Android I am thinking that I will be leaning in this direction.  And two, I have never been an Apple user so I don't want the learning curve.  Also, the iPad does not support Adobe Flash which sucks because I am a big Adobe user.

Right now, I am anxiously awaiting the release of the MOTOROLA XOOM Android Tablet as it is being reviewed as a real competitor to the iPad and I like that. I really don't want to buy the iPad because it's so mainstream. Ironically, Apple users use to think that they were all different. Now, just like the song in Weeds, "they all look just the same". Thus, I am checking out all of the best tablet PCs that are non iPads and Android based. I will keep you posted on the final decision!

Golf Announcer Jim Grey Reprimanded

As you all know, I am trying to learn how to play golf better everyday and it is a struggle.  So, today, instead of hitting the driving range, I just decided to read about some golf blogs on the web.

I came across this article about golf announcer Jim Grey, who is an absolute d-bag!  Aside from looking and speaking annoying, he always seems to want to make himself part of the story.

Jim Grey is the one who did the LeBron James interview and countless other irritating interviews.  Well, he was just suspended by The Golf Channel after getting into it with Dustin Johnson's caddy of all people.  According to the article:

Brown indicates that Jim Gray approached Dustin Johnson on his way to the 14th tee to ask him why he was late to open the round and the tournament. Brown then approached Gray following the round to notify him that the middle of the round was not the appropriate time to ask the question.

I wish Jim Grey would have simply been fired.  He is the most annoying announcer in all of sports.  When I am thinking about golf, I don't want Jim Grey to even enter the equation.  So, I am ready for him to go.

Then, we can talk about ESPN's Jason Sobel, who is nearly as off-putting as Jim Grey not because he's an arse, but simply because he is way to big of an unathletic geek!

My Superbowl Prediction

I am completely pschyed for the Superbowl this year.  Why?  I love both of the teams that are in it!

Last week when I read Brack picks the Superbowl, I had to disagree.  He thought that the Jets would prevail over the Steelers.

Not so, Brackie boy!!!

I am so glad that this was the case because, well frankly, I am not a fan of the Jets and all of their trash talk.

So, we go Steelers/Packers, we got Ben vs Aaron, we got great defense and offenses.

As I am investigating how to watch the Superbowl online because I might have to be working during this time, I am simply thinking about this game and how I am so excited about it.

Who do I want to win?

Truthfully, I like both teams.

But if I have to go with just one...

I go with the Packers!!!

New Ways To Make Money

I have realized that, after the Christmas holidays, I do not have the amount of money that I would like to sustain the type of life that I would like to lead.  Thus, I have been investigating how to make money online.  The beauty of of this approach:  Passive Income.

What is passive income?  Well, quite succinctly put, it is the ability to make money online not doing anything after you have done the first thing.  What does this mean?  Let me give you an example.

Let's say that I write a review of a tent, for example, a tent for camping.  In this article, I write about best tent that exists and I provide a link to the tent that people can buy.  I then get a commission on the purchase of that tent from say Amazon.

Now, there is both beauty and tragedy in this approach.  First, the tragedy.  I will spend about 3 hours creating a cool article and it will probably not earn a penny for the next month.  3 hours wasted?

Not at all.  This is where the beauty of passive income comes into play.  If I successfully generate traffic to this article, it will make money throughout its lifetime, certainly while it is relevant.  Thus, if I sell 500 tents over time, this 3 hours will result in well over $1,000.

This is the beauty of Makin’a Livin’Online.  I spent 3 hours and will make $1,000.  That's over $300 an hour.  The only problem?  I have to wait about 5 years for this income to be realized.

But what the hell...I am patient!

The Christmas Quest

Well, the Holiday season is upon us and I could not be happier.  Christmas is my favorite time of the year to spend with the family.

Also, it is a great time to get "stuff" for a lot less money.  "Stuff" being all of the Christmas presents that I intend to buy :)

The first on my list may have to be another new LCD TV.  The prices are falling like crazy and I love it.

I was just reading about a 60 inch LCD TV for under $2000.  This is really unheard of and it could have never happened just a few years ago.

I have also found this list of Top Selling Christmas Gifts which highlights all the best Christmas gifts this year.

I have been thinking of getting a Kindle and I might just have to do that.  I know it's expensive but I love to read and this device gives me everything at the touch of a button.

I wonder...what does everyone else have on their mind.  What are you all looking at this Christmas?

Quest for the Best Steak

Cheryll and I recently got into an argument about what type of steak is best.

Cheryll says rib-eye for sure.

I confess to not knowing, but I do know that I love New York Strip Steak.

I turned to the food network for expert consultation.  In my search, I did find a good place on how to cook steaks.  But, as to the best kind, opinion differs.

There is no right answer...so I am sticking with New York Steak.
